Background

A very cool new album is on its way! At least, that’s what we expect, since it’s going to be work from UK 80s band Tears for Fears. It took 17 years, though.

‘The Tipping Point’ will be released on February 25, Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith announced via Instagram. The title track can already be heard via YouTube.

According to Pitchfork, the album ‘The Tipping Point’ was supposed to be released in 2017, but now it’s happening early next year.

“Before everything went in the right way with this album, everything went completely wrong first”, says Orzabal. “It took years, but when we put our heads together something really does happen.”

The witch made by Tears for Fears

Tears for Fears switched directions in the writing process, which caused quite a bit of a fuss.

The pressure that resulted not only caused us to be out of sync with our management, but also with each other.

Back in tha days

Tears for Fears’ previous album was “Everybody Loves a Happy Ending,” and was released in 2004. The band’s big hits we know of course are ‘Everybody Want to Rule the World’, ‘Shout’ and ‘Sowing the Seeds of Love’. All can be heard on 80s AlIVE.
